Australia Day

On the 26th January, Australia celebrates Australia Day – the anniversary of the landing of the first white settlers at Sydney Cove.  Admittedly most of those on the ships weren’t volunteers, being convicts from England, but their distant descendants now celebrate the holiday with enthusiasm.
